EVEN MORE FUN THAN WORDLESS PICTURE BOOKS!
We started off by talking about Charlie Chaplin, the students were fascinated with his life story and his signature style. As we watched some clips from the 1920's we talked about how a story is told through images and how the viewer can make up dialogue in their head to help complete the story. I love how much more interactive this is than in today's movie experience. Students then created dialogue for short vintage clips using this free online program (note: it can only be opened using the most current version of Google Chrome): https://www.peanutgalleryfilms.com/
This program use's voice to text technology which is glitchy but makes for some laughable outcomes.
