its time for hour of code ...
That’s why our entire school is joining in on the largest learning event in history: The Hour of Code, during Computer Science Education Week (Dec. 7-13). More than 100 million students worldwide have already tried an Hour of Code and this is Ensigns third year of participation. We actually participate the whole month of December during weekly library time.
Our Hour of Code is a statement that Ensign Elementary is ready to teach these foundational 21st century skills. To continue bringing programming activities to your students, I encourage you to continue the learning at home: see the hour of code tab on the left to help your student access their account. They should remember their computer number and password image. If not, see me in the library or there are a large number of learning activities listed below the class choices. This includes minecraft and starwars coding activities. We have quite a selection of How-to Code books here in the Ensign Library.Additionally there are youth classes held every summer through the University of Utah that allow even young students to learn coding and create their own computer games.
